The new drug is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, which blocks the conversion of testosterone to 5-alpha reductase.
The research involved five men with prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia who were treated with the 5-alpha reductase inhibitor finasteride (HCTZ) or placebo for 12 months. The drug was shown to reduce the growth of prostate cancer-related tumors. TGA’s research was funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
The drug is in Phase III clinical trials in men with anastrozole and finasteride. The drug is in phase III clinical trials in men with prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
In addition, the study showed that finasteride is safe for up to a third of men with prostate cancer.
Finasteride is an inhibitor of Type 2 5-alpha reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme in the male sex hormone system. This is because, in men with low levels of 5-alpha reductase, prostate cancer cells produce less prostatic hormones.
This means that the reduction in testosterone in men with prostate cancer is much more likely to occur in men with high levels of 5-alpha reductase.
This is the reason why the drug is called Propecia. Finasteride is available as a generic drug and is the active ingredient in the medication. The drug is also available in tablet form.
The drug is also available in a pill form. In a pill form, it’s called Proscar. The drug is sold under the brand name Propecia.
The treatment of prostate cancer was evaluated in a Phase III clinical trial involving 5,000 men with prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia. The drug was shown to reduce the growth of prostate cancer-related tumors in those patients.
TGA was also a participant in a study of men with a prostate cancer diagnosis based on an annual review of the medical records of those men, which was funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. It is expected that the treatment of prostate cancer will be covered by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. The drug will be taken once or twice daily for the first four months of treatment.
